Useful Resources

Seagulls Re-use is a project that recycles paint by getting old tins and mixing up new colours.
I really cant see how this wont be useful to use at some point.

Click this link HERE to have a gander. :)

The Scrap Reuse Art Project is another similar project but instead of paint they scavenge scrap for use in arts projects... I dont know whether its odd or not but the prospect of going to have a look there tomorow makes me feel like weeing myself slightly.

Its a face group... Linkage.

Love Arts Leeds

http://loveartsleeds.co.uk/

This is the website for the Love Arts Leeds Festival.

My proposal is we get involved in this through running craft workshops.

The importance of arts and craft for good mental health is backed up by a body of research by a group of scientists who came to the conclusion that connecting to others, learning, being physically active and creating are all fundamental needs for good mental wellbeing. That list isn't exhaustive of what they wrote up but it gives the general idea... This information comes from the Love Arts Leeds meeting I attended on the 20th of September

Active Artists getting involved in Ash Road Allotment’s annual show

Ash Road Allotment’s annual show was a good chance to sell some work and help out the local community. On the day, there were sales, quizzes, tombolas, and pretty much everything you need to make a good fare, plus, all on an allotment. The stall was a success and saw all generations getting interested in the craft on offer. Fingers crossed they’ll have us back next year.

Paddy from Active Arts manning the stall, art work was donated through paddy all from LCAD
Seed Bombs are used to spread greenery and vegetation in cities.
 Beautiful artwork on the stalls
I want to see about getting an allotment for Active Artists in Leeds
